About Us

We're Kelly's Kernels - Popcorn & Candies, and we've been a local popcorn and candy shop here in Cedar Lake, IN, since 2019. We have a different atmosphere than most stores, offering board games for our customers to play with, movies playing, and vintage toys. We started this business to do something for the people in our community. We decided on a popcorn and candy store because it was a fun way to engage people. We're looking forward to growing our business to continue to serve Cedar Lake and the surrounding areas. We'd like to personally invite you to stop in today for vintage and old-fashioned candy, flavored popcorn, corporate gifts, party favors, and more!

What went well is the question I'm being asked- everything. This was my very first time in her shop and she was as friendly as can be. I enjoyed chatting with her. My first impression when I walked in was the store is very cute, it's tidy and organized. She has amazing looking popcorn (many different flavors to choose from) and fun candies as well. I bought the Krazy Korn for my kids to try. It looked fun with all of the different colors and even better, it tasted great. I had to try it in the car before I got it home to my kids because I knew they'd devour it (which they did). I loved that each color has a flavor of its own. You know, it's not like Froot Loops where it's a mystery- you're trying to figure out if each color truly has a flavor. ‍ Well, her multicolred popcorn does have individual flavors. I bought a couple of fairly priced candies as well. This was hands-down, a wonderful experience and I'm definitely going to try to go there weekly and try different popcorn and pick out different candies for my family to enjoy. We are very big on supporting small businesses and this business is one that deserves a lot of support. She has earned it. And one of the best things she told me today was one of the bigger reasons she opened the store is for the kids in town because they don't have a whole lot that is geared towards them. My teen and her friends are really excited to go try this place out. She said she has board games for the kids, I saw a large community puzzle on the table, she said she's happy to put a movie on for your kids to watch. Please do give her business a try. You won't be disappointed.
